Supporting Scarpro Means Supporting Your Community

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of our local community. From providing food and shelter to those in need to offering educational programs and support services, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those around us. By supporting Scarpro, you are supporting your community and helping to build a brighter future for all.

The SCAR Program is strategically designed with a multi-faceted approach to reduce recidivism among justice-involved youth and young adults. We address the root causes of re-offending, including behavioral deficits, low self-worth, and a lack of essential life skills. Our holistic approach aims to modify underlying thought patterns, build internal capacity, provide practical pathways to economic independence, and connect participants to supportive networks.

We achieve this through our five core modules:

  • Module 1: Behavior Modification      & Positive Choices: This module targets the core behavioral issues      linked to justice involvement, helping participants modify thought      processes that lead to impulsive or criminal acts.
  • Module 2: Strengthening      Self-Esteem & Resilience: We build the psychological strength necessary      for participants to resist negative influences and persevere despite past      mistakes.
  • Module 3: Financial Literacy for      Sustainable Futures: This module provides legitimate pathways to financial      security by teaching participants how to manage money and plan for their      future, directly countering a significant driver of criminal activity.
  • Module 4: Essential Life Skills      Development: We provide practical competencies for navigating daily life      successfully outside of the justice system, from communication to      problem-solving.
  • Module 5: On-the-Job Training      & Career Pathways: This module directly tackles the critical barrier      of unemployment, one of the strongest predictors of recidivism, by      equipping participants with tangible skills for economic independence.

Our approach combines theoretical learning with extensive practical application. We use interactive discussions, hands-on activities, role-playing, and personal reflection to ensure participants not only gain knowledge but also develop the skills and behavioral patterns needed for sustainable change.

Our On-the-Job Training (OJT) program has served 30 youth and young adults utilizing event concession support.
