About SCAR

The SCAR Program was born from the insights of a radio show to address the pressing needs of at-risk youth and young adults. SCAR stands for Serious, Committed, Accountable, and Responsible, the core values we instill in every participant. 

Our impact is demonstrated through our active community contributions. In the past three years, we have provided food and gift cards for much-needed items to the FLITE Center's homeless youth program. We've also supported 4KIDS' Christmas wish list and provided temporary housing for homeless youth while helping them secure more permanent solutions.

To empower vulnerable youth and young adults through workshops, mentorship, life skills training, and civic engagement—fostering accountability, confidence, and a commitment to a productive, self-sufficient life. 

 SCAR envisions a future where all youth—regardless of background—have access to the support systems and educational opportunities necessary to succeed. The program aims to nurture resilient, confident, and community-oriented individuals who not only avoid recidivism but actively contribute to the well-being of their neighborhoods.
